On a dark and dreary day, I found a dyin' man.
I knelt down beside him and I held his trembling hand.
He felt cold his pulse was week,
He only had a while.
But just before he spoke his last, he raised his head and smiled.

He said,
Open up your heavens Lord, my work here is done.
I did everything you asked me,
now the devil's on the run.
This life may be over,
But my new life's just begun.
