Self-trepanation by power drill, his growing obsession
The spinning drill tears through the bone
He passes out, lying there bleeding amongst fragments of cranium
Evading psychiatric care, he's undeterred
His partner is eager to try, she shares his mania
Before long the next attempt
The girl lies supine, strapped to the table top
Offered a chance to cease, consent is given
Heedless of consequence
Already weak from blood loss, he can't maintain control
The drill thrusts through the vertex, shredding encephalon
Horrified he recoils backwards
But the damage is done
Her body lying lifeless, death instantaneous
Hysteria sets in, he's gripped with despair
Sanity slowly fades, farewell lucidity
Seeking blessed escape, the root is the way out
Oblivion entices
A drill-bit overdose
